Meet young Leeds technical trainee, Husna Rehman Khan!
A graduate of University of Bradford, 27-year-old Husna Rehman Khan works at global manufacturing company Agfa Graphics. We asked her about being a technical trainee and what she enjoys.
Global manufacturing company Agfa Graphics is a UTC Leeds employer partner. The company supplies material to the printing and graphical industries across the world. We met with Graham Cooper, Site Manager of Agfa’s Leeds’ factory – the only one in the UK – and a Director of Agfa operations in the UK. Graham is a Governor at UTC Leeds and member of the Trust Board.
We recently caught up with Nick Green, Production Director at Tadcaster-based Mpac Lambert, a new partner of UTC Leeds.
We asked Nick about why Mpac Lambert chose to work with the UTC, what kinds of activities are happening and the impact that is having both on the UTC students and this global engineering business.

The RAF is one of the biggest employers of engineers in the UK and finding high quality recruits with the potential to fill these roles is a constant challenge. The RAF is now working with University Technical Colleges around the country because they focus on developing young people with the professional, technical and personal skills to take up careers in engineering.
