UTC Leeds is incredibly proud to celebrate another year of exceptional GCSE results—a testament to the hard work, resilience, and ambition of our students and staff. These outcomes have not only surpassed our baseline targets, but also highlight the outstanding progress our students have made across both core and STEM subjects.
Core Subject Highlights
English: 72% achieved grade 4+, 58% secured grade 5+
Maths: 79% achieved grade 4+, 56% secured grade 5+
Science Success
AQA Combined Science: Achieving above national attainment in all areas, including double the national average for grade 9-9
AQA Separate Sciences: Chemistry: 75% achieved grades 9–7, Physics: 52% achieved grades 9–7
Engineering Excellence
UTC Leeds continues to lead in technical education, with students achieving strong results in Engineering Design and Manufacture.
Many students secured Distinction and Merit grades, reflecting their practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. All in preparation for exciting destinations in advanced manufacturing, design, and innovation, we can't wait to see what the future holds!
Post-16 Enrolment
We’re thrilled to welcome many internal and external students enrolling in STEM A-levels at UTC Leeds today.
Following last week’s fantastic T Level results, our Engineering and Digital T Level courses are also filling up fast!

Celebrating UTC Superstars!
Whilst we’re proud of every single one of our students, today we want to shine a light on four incredible individuals who’ve not only achieved academically, but have grown into confident, resilient and inspiring young people.
At UTC Leeds, we know that exam results matter, but we also know that personal growth, life skills, confidence, and embracing who you are are just as important. These four students have shown us what it means to be brave, determined, and passionate—and we couldn’t be prouder!
Devon – Since joining in Year 10, Devon has transformed her confidence and attendance, becoming a role model to those around her and embraced every aspect of UTC life! What's next? Coming back to UTC Leeds Sixth Form to study A Levels in Computer Science, Physics & Maths.
Rachel – A natural leader and advocate for her peers, Rachel has helped shape student life at UTC Leeds and is now ready to thrive in the engineering world. What's next? Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship with Appris.
Jack – Jack’s journey is one of determination and growth, overcoming challenges and smashing his progress targets. What's next? Rugby scholarship at college to study Sports & Exercise Science.
George – With top grades across the board and an A* in Maths A Level in the bag already, George is a true all-rounder—excelling academically and in competitive sailing. Next steps? Staying at UTC Leeds to study Chemistry, Further Maths & Computer Science.
