Exam Invigilators

  • Salary: Scale B2 point 7, £11.58 per hour

Required: Throughout the academic year

Contract: Casual Appointment

Salary: Scale B2 point 7, £11.58 per hour

UTC Leeds is looking to recruit Exam Invigilators on a casual basis to join our team of staff conducting external examinations for our students. To be successful in this role, you will have good attention to detail, be flexible with work hours, and have excellent timekeeping and organisational skills. Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. However, it is desirable that applicants will be computer literate. Applicants should be available during January-July on an ad-hoc basis (our primary summer season runs from May to June). The hourly rate on a casual basis is £11.58 per hour.

The role of an invigilator is key to ensuring UTC Leeds examinations are run efficiently and effectively for our students. All exams are expected to run in accordance with JCQ regulations and procedures. Tasks include: preparing exam rooms, distributing exam papers and necessary equipment, advising students of exam conditions and ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to. After the exam, you would be responsible for the safe collection of papers and ensuring that, along with the exams officer, they are filed and recorded correctly to be sent off for marking.

This role would suit someone who is confident, trustworthy, adaptable and available through our academy’s examination periods. For further details, please get in touch with [email protected] or phone 0113 353 0140.

To apply, please download the application pack and return it to [email protected].

Closing Date: Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis – Interviews will be ongoing until July 2023.

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this position. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process. The UTC Leeds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
