Events: Open Evening January 10th 2019

Come and find out why joining UTC  Leeds in Year 10 or Year 12 next Autumn could be the best option for you!

At the event you will be able to hear from our Principal, meet and talk to members of our teaching staff, meet current students, tour our fantastic facilities and have a go at a range of activities including:

• See demonstrations in our physics department such as stationary waves, electron diffraction, interference patterns, calculations of ‘g’, spectroscopy and polarisation of waves
• Have a go at MIG welding a steel joint in the engineering department
• Meet our maths department and hear about careers in mathematics and explore Fermi estimations – part of the core maths syllabus and lots of fun to do! E.g. How many cups of tea will someone drink in a lifetime?
