Yet again, we’ve had an excellent results day here at UTC Leeds. Our students really are impressing us and we are, once again, delighted with our GCSE results. The students have achieved fantastic results across the board and are going on to incredibly exciting destinations as a result.
Principal of UTC Leeds, Hannah Wilson, said, “We are so incredibly proud of our young people and the efforts that they went to in order to achieve this amazing set of results. It is beyond doubt that this year group has had a difficult journey throughout their GCSE years, but they have shown true resilience and risen to the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Congratulations class of 2022 – you thoroughly deserve everything you have achieved, and we look forward to supporting you through the next stage of your UTC journey!”
Not only did our students achieve fantastic results, but many are moving on to amazing destinations. Today has seen students continue on to study at UTC Leeds Sixth Form and Level 3 apprenticeships at LVF Packing, Thurstons, HWL Windows, ACS Steels, Kirkstall Engineering and Sulzer Pumps – to name just a few!
Today’s results are the perfect end to years of hard work from all students, including Jonah, who achieved 4 grades 8s, two 7s, a 6 and two Distinction*. Jonah had this to say, “I’m really pleased with my results today. UTC Leeds really prepared me for my exams and helped me immensely to achieve what I have today. I’m really looking forward to starting my A Levels here at UTC Leeds Sixth Form to study engineering, biology, maths and product design.”
All staff at UTC Leeds are extremely proud of what our Year 11 students have achieved this year. Through a challenging time, their hard work and dedication have paid off, helping them to achieve stunning results and allowing them to progress to exciting destinations.
We wish all our students the very best of luck in their futures!
