We are thrilled to announce that three Year 13 students from UTC Leeds will feature on a new Channel 4 engineering series, Richard Hammond’s Crazy Contraptions!
The show will feature teams competing to build ‘ingenious machines’ out of everyday objects. The team from UTC Leeds will feature within the first four episodes, competing against university and postgraduate students from across the country.
The students taking part are Olivia Bastow, Yvana Rodrigues-Ferreira and Leon Haslam. We are so proud of them for representing the UTC and showcasing their talents to the nation!
The show will also feature a behind the scenes interview at the college where students discuss how UTC Leeds prepares them for exciting careers in STEM.
The first episode will air this Friday (29th April 2022) at 8:00pm. We’ll all be tuning in to show our support!
