International Women in Engineering Day 2021 - UTC Leeds

23rd June 2021

Happy International Women in Engineering Day (INWED)!

Today marks eight years of INWED, an international awareness campaign from the Women’s Engineering Society. INWED aims to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on related career opportunities.

At UTC Leeds we work hard to support all our students to achieve their goals, regardless of their gender. We work closely with the WISE campaign to support our female students to access career opportunities and develop as role models for other young women. We are passionate about increasing diversity in STEM by encouraging female students to set high aspirations and work hard to achieve their goals.

This INWED we’re celebrating the hard work of our very own Women in Engineering! Hear what some of our female students have to say about studying at UTC Leeds, as well as their own #EngineeringHeroes. Take a look at our social media for more INWED content!
