Welcome to our Apprenticeship Job Shop page. Here you can find adverts of apprenticeships that employers have flagged up to us. Employers regularly send us details of apprenticeships because they know that we prepare young people for the world of work – in particular, for jobs in the engineering, manufacturing and high tech sectors. This is also why parents want their daughter or son to attend a UTC.

These are not the only available apprenticeships in these fields – there are more opportunities advertised on the National Apprenticeships Service site and employers’ own websites. For more details of each apprenticeship below including how to apply, please click on the links and contact the relevant employer.

First Break – ScreenSkills Placement

First Break is a project that supports people at the start of their career or thinking about a behind-the-camera career in television drama.

ScreenSkills have partnered with ITV on Coronation Street and Emmerdale where they will support, nurture and encourage participants who are considering a role behind the camera; giving you the tools, knowledge and a comprehensive taster of work experience across the production process.

If you have always wanted to work behind the scenes in television drama but don’t have the experience, industry contacts or qualifications, First Break could be for you. We are looking for participants who are keen to learn, who are enthusiastic, hardworking and who are passionate and interested in working in TV.

Part of this opportunity is a 3 week paid placement at the ITV studios in Leeds and so you must be able to travel every day for the full 3 weeks to  Central Leeds.
